Super 18 Tungsten Super Shot (TSS) is 125% denser than steel, 50% denser than hevishot and 63% heavier density than traditional lead shot.

For choosing shot size, the penetration energy of Super 18 TSS is approximately equivalent to lead shot 5 sizes larger, or hevishot 4 sizes larger.

 

The denser the shot, the better it retains velocity, the harder it hits, the smaller the shot size you can use, the tighter it patterns—and the better it drops geese and swans.
